The Beach Revisited

I worked on 4 driftwood creations.
What joy to open the beach basket full of summer found treasures.
I was instantly transported back to the unusually warm mist that covered the beaches, the salt on my skin, the exposed sea life at low tide, silver blue waves crashing against jagged mountains of ancient stone.
Hand in hand, we collected shells, barnacles, feathers, wood and fossils.
The dog chased flocks of sea birds and frothy waves with doggy abandon.
Lost in those summer moments, with a new smile I created new treasures to share.

I really long for the beach. I miss the sun, ribbons of blue. silver and white breakers with their roar.I miss the walks on the beach in the sun. I guess it will be a long while until we can enjoy that again.
