Well here it is, almost July .... and only a tease of summer.
On the brighter side, we have plenty of roses, daisies, peonys and the raspberries and apples look good. I have a few calendula that may take hold and bloom, then they will be a reliable crop for always. The comfrey plants are coming up, the dried leaf tea is so yummy. The valerian starts are growing, sweet cicely too. Feverfew has sprung up everywhere and is in bloom. Mullein have come up wild all over my little acre, the fresh flowers will be picked one at a time and an oil made for pain. the leaves dried for lung tea. The burnet and walking onions transplanted well. I have volunteer trees coming up everywhere.
The dog needs walking, the gypsy wagon unloadin' and so I'm off to start a new day.

Isn't that the way? Precious little gooey critters. Another few weekends of crazy moving stuff, and I've got to make it to one of your Saturday sales. ;-)
Yep, we have the slug issue here as well. No matter where you look there is another of the little slimy critters! I accidentally stepped on one the other day and his skin stuck to my shoe while the rest of him shot into the bushes. Don't know if this is normal for them or not, but I've never seen it before.
Blessings on your harvest this year.
